Directions: The Williamson County Landfill is located
between Hutto and Georgetown on Highway 1660. Located on
the west side of 1660, the Landfill is located between Highway
79 and Highway 29. Look for the Waste Management sign and
the Recycling Center building.

The landfill does not accept batteries, liquids, household chemicals, paint, motor oil, used oil filters, florescent light bulbs, or other hazardous materials.
Appliances can be disposed of at the Recycling Center and landfill; however, refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners must have the Freon removed by a certified technician and officially designated as Freon-free before they can be accepted. There is no fee to dispose of appliances at the Recycling Center; however, at the landfill, the cost to dispose of a single appliance is approximately $15.
Tires are collected and recycled for a fee: car tires are $10 and truck tires are $15.
Disposal fees depend on the size of the load. Below are the landfill disposal fees (the rates below include an additional, state-required Texas Commission on Environmental Quality fee which varies, based on the size of the load).
- Car load: $25 + fees
- Pick-up Trucks (all sizes): $25 + fees
- All trailers with debris: $30.50/ton + fees with a 1-ton minimum charge
- Brush: $5.50/cubic yard
- Pull- off fee (optional): $25
- Tarp fees: $25
